Everybody Knows By Christina Holmes Remix

It’s been a while since I posted a remix, I had some free time this weekend so I thought I would remix a song and throw it up here 🙂 I picked another genre I am unfamiliar with because expanding horizons is always a good thing. In this case it’s a “folk” song, but there is a strong Native American influence in there with a fair amount of chanting, as well as an African Djembe for percussion. This one was a bit more challenging because of the sheer amount of tracks (116 to be exact) in the session. Generally you associate folk as something very simple, a guitar and a voice but that was not the case here. The vocal parts making up the bulk of the tracks.

At this point I’m I’m using Studio One Pro exclusively. The transition wasn’t as painful as I thought it was going to be and I’m finding the flex-ability of it really great. Being a geek I should probably talk tech soon, and I will.. But first… A song that really grew on me as I mixed it 🙂
